UPSC's answer: (a)

NCERT answers it: Class 12 Introductory Microeconomics, Ch 2 (Theory of Consumer Behaviour).

Microeconomics (ch 2): a dearer substitute raises demand for a good, and a dearer complement lowers it. Demand for an inferior good falls as income rises, and a lower price raises the quantity demanded. So 1 and 4: (a).
