Answer: (a) Arunachal Pradesh

Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary is in the East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Pakhui and Pakke are two spellings of the same protected area, which is also a tiger reserve.

  • ✓ (a) The National Tiger Conservation Authority places Pakke Tiger Reserve in East Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh. PIB records that it was declared the Pakhui Wildlife Sanctuary in 2002 and was made a tiger reserve in the same year.
  • ✗ (b) Pakhui is not in Manipur. The reserve lies in Arunachal Pradesh and is contiguous with Assam's Nameri Tiger Reserve.
  • ✗ (c) Pakhui is not in Meghalaya; it is in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
