2. Regional artistry was recognised via the inspiration drawn from iconic temples.

3. India’s ancient history had been crafted by the contemporary craftsmanship of 230 artisans into creations to behold.

Select the answer using the code given below.

(a) 1 and 2 only · (b) 2, 3 and 4 · (c) 1, 2 and 4 · (d) 1 and 3

Answer: (a) केवल 1 और 2

Statements 1 and 2 restate what the passage says about the seven Angans and the temple-inspired zones full of regional art. Statement 3 swaps the passage's 'age-old techniques' for 'contemporary craftsmanship', and statement 4 overreaches with 'all regions'.

  • ✓ 1. The passage says India's diverse regions were represented by seven 'Sanskriti Angans' in Kalagram.
  • ✓ 2. The thematic zones were 'inspired by iconic temples' and were 'treasure troves of regional artistry', so the regional art was presented through temple-inspired zones.
  • ✗ 3. The artisans worked with 'age-old techniques'; calling it 'contemporary craftsmanship' changes what the passage says.
  • ✗ 4. Only a few examples (Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh) are named; 'all regions of India' is an overstatement.

Remember · Check each qualifying word against the passage: 'all', 'contemporary', 'only' often turn a near-copy into a wrong statement.
