UPSC's answer: (c)

NCERT answers it: Class 11 Themes in World History, Theme 6 (Displacing Indigenous Peoples).

The one fact NCERT doesn't give: Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer is the technique used to clone animals: the nucleus of a body cell is put into an egg cell whose own nucleus has been removed. Dolly the sheep was cloned this way.

Class 11 Themes in World History, Theme 6 (timeline): scientists cloned the sheep Dolly (1997). With the fact, the technology is reproductive cloning of animals. Answer (c).
