  2. 2.All India Scheduled Castes Federation
  3. 3.The Independent Labour Party

Answer & explanation

Answer: (b) 2 and 3 only

Ambedkar founded the Independent Labour Party in 1936 and the All India Scheduled Castes Federation in 1942. The Peasants and Workers Party was founded by Keshavrao Jedhe after he left the Congress. Ambedkar had no part in founding it. So only 2 and 3 are correct.

  • ✗ 1. The Peasants and Workers Party (PWP) was founded by Keshavrao Jedhe after he left the Congress. It was a separate peasant–worker party, and Ambedkar did not found it.
  • ✓ 2. Ambedkar founded the All India Scheduled Castes Federation in 1942 at Nagpur, as a political party for the Scheduled Castes.
  • ✓ 3. Ambedkar formed the Independent Labour Party on 15 August 1936 to safeguard the interests of the depressed classes, who mostly formed the labour population.

Remember · Ambedkar's parties, in order: Independent Labour Party (1936), then All India Scheduled Castes Federation (1942). The Peasants and Workers Party came from Keshavrao Jedhe's break with the Congress.
