UPSC Public Administration optional · Paper I & II
Your Pub Ad mentor for UPSC — one-to-one, every week, every answer read
Public Administration (लोक प्रशासन) is an optional you can master with a plan, practice and honest feedback. Your mentor sets your week from the notified syllabus, marks every optional answer line by line and meets you every week — on its own, or with Momentum, Ascent or Summit for GS.
Choose your plan
Public Administration alone, or with your GS mentorship
Pick your GS plan and the Pub Ad plan of the same length comes with it, for less. Or choose "None" and take Public Administration on its own.

How Pub Ad mentorship works
A week with your Public Administration mentor
-
1 · Monday
Your targets for the week: which Paper I or Paper II units to read, revise and write on, set from where you stand.
-
2 · Through the week
Four optional answers, written by hand and sent as one PDF each. Every one is read and marked line by line — structure, thinkers, examples, the Indian case.
-
3 · Your weekly one-to-one
No time limit: it ends when your doubts are cleared. With a GS plan, the same call covers GS and Public Administration.
-
4 · Every month
A sectional test on the units you've finished; on the 3-month and full-cycle plans, a full Paper I and Paper II mock as well.

Why Pub Ad and GS belong together
Paper II is the governance half of GS Paper II
Civil services & reforms
Recruitment, training, neutrality, the reform commissions — asked in Pub Ad Paper II and in GS Paper II.
Local government
Panchayati Raj, the 73rd and 74th Amendments, district administration — one preparation for both papers.
Values & accountability
Values in public service, RTI, citizen's charters, social audit — close to GS Paper IV's ethics and governance.
That's why Pub Ad with a GS plan costs less than the two apart: one mentor plans both, and one weekly call covers both. Compare the GS plans → · GS Paper II model answers →
FAQ
Public Administration optional mentorship — questions
What is this Public Administration optional mentorship?
One-to-one mentorship for the UPSC Civil Services Public Administration (Pub Ad) optional, Paper I and Paper II. Your mentor plans your weeks from the notified syllabus, evaluates your optional answers line by line and meets you every week on a call with no time limit. It is not a video course or a recorded batch.
Can I take it without GS mentorship?
Yes. Choose "None" and pick a length: 1 month (₹3,499), 3 months (₹8,999) or the full cycle (₹24,999).
How does it work with Momentum, Ascent or Summit?
Choose the GS plan and the Public Administration plan of the same length comes with it, for less than the two prices added up. One mentor sees both sides of your preparation, and one weekly call covers GS and the optional together.
How many Pub Ad answers are evaluated?
Four optional answers a week, from either paper, each marked line by line; the 3-month and full-cycle plans add full Paper I and Paper II mocks. Send them from the answer evaluation page and choose Public Administration Paper I or II.
Does Public Administration help with GS?
Paper II's units — civil services, financial management and audit, administrative reforms and their commissions, Panchayati Raj and urban local government, district administration — are the governance core of GS Paper II, and values in public service sit close to GS Paper IV. Preparing them once, well, pays twice.
How long is the full cycle?
18 months from the day you join, or until the next UPSC Mains, whichever is later — the same rule as Summit.
Why are seats limited?
Optional answers run two to three pages each and every one is read by your mentor, so the founding group is capped at 10 students across all lengths. When it is full, the page says so and you can join the waitlist.
What if it isn't right for me?
A full refund within 7 days of paying, no reason needed — the same as Momentum, Ascent and Summit. Bought with a GS plan, the whole payment is refunded.
